Default Please help, sensor problem or something else?

1999 xj 5 speed.
After driving for about 40 minutes on a hot day, I shut the jeep off and then not 10 minutes later I went to start it back up and it would turn over start up and then just die out 2 Seconds later even if I'm giving it some gas. Initially I though it might be my fuel pump but I still had pressure on the line.
It might be worth noting that I'll have an occasional misfire or sputtering/loss of power coming out of first and second gear that will stop if I either let go the gas for a second or punch it a little bit. I've recently had to replace the crank position sensor, battery, starter, alternatir, spark plugs/wires, distributor cap/rotor. It's always had problems starting and staying running since I've had it for a year and a half. Also I have a small exhaust gasket leak right now.

test your fuel pressure with a gauge.

Any CEL codes?
Get an OBD2 reader and see if there are any stored codes.
Don't rely on the CEL light only.

Could be a lot of things but the first thing i would do is check the fuel pressure considering starting/running problems have existed for a year and a half.
Looks like you already took care of most of the usual ignition suspects.

Far as the 10 minute shut off issue AND if the fuel pressure is within spec do a fuel leak down test.
That 10 minute issue also sounds a lot like the infamous heat soak issue.
