Please help! My electric fan stays on!
I have an electric fan in my cherokee and whenever I turn it off, the fan stays on and will not turn off. Ive been unhooking the battery terminals to turn it off. What could the problem be?

You can unplug the fan so it doesn't run the battery dead. Typically what happens is that a failing auxiliary radiator fan burns out the solid state fan relay, this can cause the relay to short and supply continuous voltage to the fan assembly. The relay is located below the passenger headlamp hidden behind a plastic panel. Manuals say you need to remove the bumper to get to it.. maybe.. but follow the wire from the fan until you 'see' the relay in there. If you carefully cut a hole in the plastic piece over the relay, it's an easy fix. "IF" your aux fan is failing tho, it will probably wipe out your new relay after a time. You might replace both of them.
