PLEASE help! my 94 cherokee has had an electrical fire

Default PLEASE help! my 94 cherokee has had an electrical fire

The electrical fire happen while driving and i dont know what to do about it.. should i go to the u-pull it and get all new wires or is my jeep screwed?

well first u need to find out what has burnt or if u can put some pics up on here and im sure we can somewhat tell u what u will need but there are allways surprises.. lol if it was me that would be all the excuse i would need to dump a carb'd 350 in it with msd lol

well man ouch.. looks like u need a new map sensor, some vacume hose, and the wiring harness u can do one of a few ways, u can cut the wires on each side of where they are burnt and take the time to run new wires between u can buy a whole new harness wich would take a long time to install... and are any of ur injectors damaged i cant tell because that would be expensive as hell

Looks like that originated as a fuel fire from a leaking o-ring on an injector, traveled up and back.

Had that happened at the front of the motor you could have burned the hood release cable and would have lost the rig.

Thats why we tell people not to drive a rig if you smell fuel. Did you smell fuel?

u have no idea how easy it is ... could do it with a couple cases of beer in a weekend

im pretty sure none of them were just the wires. how much do you think it would cost?

sorry for the hijack..

I can get a 350 block with some of the parts for free from a buddy, I dont know what parts it still needs, but he told me I could have it as long as I use it.

well if its just what i listed u will need wire, heat shrink connectors, vacume hose, a sensor, u and a friend could do the wiring in a day with 50 or so dollars
