got the swap done , battery died so i cant test to see how its working, i tied the two hoses that went into the bottle off the heater core hoses together, is that good? also just looked at the oil , time for a head gasket the oil has the lightest barely noticable tint of cream hahahaha that blows but o well.

Mine acted the sameway before it blew,i changed over to the newer style after I put in another motor, the old system is what caused my headgasket to blow,or lack of operator input.
You will be better off if you hook up your hoses the way they should be,it just takes away any chances of leaks there.

The hoses get replaced with the hoses from the other xj to the heater control valve like they are in the picture I sent.
How many miles do you have?you can just replace the headgasket,it does not hurt the engine to blow a headgasket, but you will need to insure the head is not cracked, have it magnafluxed.

You're from someplace with snow... I'll assume you know that driving with your heater on will help a little with the overheating. It's kind of a stop-gap measure, and only a little effective, but it can buy you precious minutes on short trips when you're running hot.
