Default PLEAES HELP

hello, I have a stock 01 cherokee, I have been trying to diagnosis a noise when I take off and or turn. It seems to be a loud gear or stripped spline noise and from the way it sounds its in the tcase. or under my shifter? any Ideas? thanks.

Sounds like transfer case possibility, mine had a stretched chain and made a lot of strange noises. Easiest way to find out for sure is to remove the front driveshaft and drive it a short distance. If the noise is gone, the problem is most likely in your t-case
