hey my 96 jeep has alot of play in the f drive shaft yok and it is making a thump when i brake or in 4x4 high or low its like its popping out i replaced the u js all over the front end but what can i do about this would it be best to get a new drive shaft? and wheres a good place to get a new one if thats whats best? thanks guys i stll love playing in my jeep in 2 wheel drive but i seem to get stuck a lot thank god for a winch

 

I got this problem too, seal has started to leak as well.

I think the only fix is try to tighten the yoke or replace pinion bearing + seal.

I tried to tighten mine, didn't work.

 

Replace the yolk, just replaced mine. Should cost you anywhere from 50-100 bucks

 

yeah same here mike): and yes i didnt know you could take the yok off how can u take it off i tried beating mine off but no luck thank you so much for help u two(:
