Default plastidip As Paint

Has anyone painted their XJ with Plastidip,if so how did it turn out and would you recommend it.

Are you using the spray or dip? Haha. I wanna see you dip your jeep.
Anyway, I wouldn't think it to be a good idea. Once a rip starts you could just peel it off. May I ask what led to this thought? Seems kind of expensive to me.

This guy painted his Audi with plasticdip and it looks pretty good and sells a kit.

I actually painted my hood on my laser with the stuff, and it came out pretty nice. Here is a thread from another forum I'm on.

I use it on tool handles all the time. It's great stuff. However about a year later it always starts to peel at the edges. As you can imagine. It's all downhill from there. That's when I remove and re dip. That being said, I don't think it would handle heat, rain and offroading very well.

Mine had done well with heat and water as it's on the hood. My other car being turbo the under hood temps get pretty warm.

i sprayed my rims with it and its awesome! if they ever get scratched or anything i just spray em again. or if i dont like it i just peel it off. no sanding or anything to prep. just clean very very well and spray.
