Plastic body parts on a 96?

Ive had a couple people try to talk me out of buying a 96 saying they started making body parts out of plastic on the 96 & newer? Any input would be great

I think the Grands have more plastic cladding on them than the XJs ever did.
Maybe that's what they're thinking about.
Besides, what difference would it make to them? As long as you're OK with what you get is what matters.

I've owned two plastic-panel cars, both Saturns. I actually like the idea. Fixing panel damage becomes a simple DIY affair when you can find a matching panel at the scrapyard and simply bolt it on.

My 98 only has the plastic bumper end caps, fender flairs and rubber side molding. No more then any of my past XJ's
