Default Pitman arm problems

I'm trying to remove my old stock pitman arm so I can install a drop pitman arm. Problem is the old one won't come off. I've broken two P. A. Pullers, have soaked the thing in PB blaster and now conteplating changing out the entire gearbox just to change pitman arms. Any sugestions ?

Install the pitman arm puller, tighten it up tight, but not to there its gonna brake. Then wack the pitman arm up by the steering box with a hammer a few times. The vibrations from the impact should loosen the arm a bit, so tighten the puller some more, and wack the arm with a hammer again a few times. Make shure not to hit the box or the puller with the hammer.

Hammers also work on most other steering and suspension components as well. they pop out tie rod ends and ball joints pritty well when they are stuck. Usually hit the knuckle when doing those though.

x2 on what itsajeepthing stated.
Also another trick is to heat the pitman arm with a torch.
