Hey all,
I'm new to the forum. Purchased a 99 XJ Classic about one month ago as my winter vehicle. It has the I6, 4WD, and an unknown 3 inch lift (previous owner said it was installed by the owner before him. The XJ has 122k miles and seems to run good so far. With that being said, I have been trying to take care of little issues as time allows. My current problem is a power steering fluid leak. The fluid appears to be leaking at the pitman arm seal. It's not bad, but seems to have gotten worse over the past month. The arm gets saturated and about a 1-2 inch diameter spot will leak onto the ground every 24 hours. Any suggestions as to how to address this problem?

I had the same issue, and it got worse fast. In the end I got a junkyard steering box that was bone dry for $50 and just changed the whole box out with new steering lines. It looks like a harder job to change any seals in the box...
