Piston Ring Replacement
Radiator hose leaked the other day...zero coolant...overheated...ended up with a blown head gasket. In the process of changing the gasket. Should I spend the extra effort and change the piston rings (no apparent leak at the current time) while I've taken the engine apart.

If you are thinking of changing the rings, you might as well think about changing rod and main bearings as well, but I wouldn't do it without pulling the engine out of the vehicle. If you are going that far, consider reconditioning the engine completely.
