Default pintle cap question for those that have done injector swaps.

I would like to know if the pintle cap off a 4.0 cherokee injector is the same as the ones on the Neon upgraded injectors.
At my local napa they brought me out the injector o-ring kit for the neon 2.0. The kit consisted of 2 orings a bushing and a pintle cap that neither looked the same or even fit the injector.
Thank you, Andy

i just put the neon injectors in my jeep a week ago. (great upgrade) i went to the auto parts and they wanted 3.50 for 2 o-rings and the pintle cap, so i just bought one box of it and re-used the o-rings that were on the injectors already in my jeep. i didn't even use the pintle cap, you dont need to. its worthless, i dont even know why its there. i bought mine used from a guy on here and just put them in, i should've have even bought that box of 2 o-rings.

just take your injectors out, use the old o-rings (they should look fine, mine looked brand new and the jeep has 160,000 miles). or if your neons came with o-rings use them, it took me an hour to do the swap, it is very easy if you are mechanically inclined. im pretty sure it is the 2.4 liter neon though, i can get you the part number. let me find it

I have the correct injectors. I just wanted to mak sure the pintle caps off the xj were the same. After doing some reading i would not run my injectors without the pintle caps. Engine fires on the 5.0 mustang boards clued me into this.

I bought some neon injectors and one of them didn't come with a pintle cap. I went to the parts store but the pintle caps that were in the rebuild kit didn't fit. What should I do?
