I just lifted my xj another inch or so so i'm at 3.5 now. I installed a sye kit and used the front xj shaft back there. Now according to my angle finder, drive shaft angle is 14 degrees and pinion is 6 degrees (old man emu springs aren't arched or set for sye setups). This is a 8 degree difference so i am thinking a 6 degree shim for this?

I wonder if they have a 6 degree shim....but anyways, lemme know if this sounds right. Thanks!

Im glad you actually measured, most people just go out and pick something that sounds good or that they hear from their friend. 6* should work for you

haha yeah i've seen that before. Pinion angles are something you don't want to neglect, nor guess. I've had my share of issues with my TJ angles and i wanna get it right this time around. Funny thing is i don't have ANY vibrations with the 8 degree difference. I haven't mashed the gas yet nor gone above 50 but so far no vibes. It's a huge improvement over my stock setup which i had vibes on acceleration all the time.
