my black jeep was on 35s and had a leaf conversion with a shackle reversal and leather interior and a strait 6 with an auto. un like the red on with a 2.5L 4cyl and a 5 speed

Keep the red one and just get a 4.0 to swap in either way nice rig.....

 

Big NEGATORY on the 4.0 swap into an '86, the engine compartment is shorter.

4.0 vs 4-banger? No debate, the 4.0 is the way to go.
The front leaves probably won't be as flexy as the '86 though.
My vote: The black one.
