Does anyone know if Indian head shellac will keep my gasket in WP gasket in place like high tack stuff would ?

What do you mean by keeping the gasket in place?
High Tack spray gasket is a very good gasket sealer for the WP and T-Stat Housing. No need to monk around with some other voodoo stuff.

Ccken, had a bolt break off in the (head ) POI've been posting about . Well let's just say I need all the help I can get in sealing the thermostat housing
