Alot of people I have spoken to say those things are just a gimmic. Not worth the money. Good Luck!!

That is what I have also heard. They do make alterations to several parameters but the ECU changes them back so you never feel the true changes until you get to the petrol pump. They decrease mileage somewhat without an appreciable performance improvement. One cancels out the other.
ok, I see, so its not like having th ECU programmed? have any of you guys had that done and what changes did it make in as far as BHP and MPG
I am getting an exhaust and looking at headers too, I have a big throttle body and performance air intake, I kinda understood that a chip will complement these mods very well but will be crap on a standard set up
Oh I see what you mean Burns, the Jet chips are crap, but what about other chips, or having the ECU re mapped to suit my mods

I have it because i order it by mistake....
The different before and after are:
1. same MPG
2. same BHP
3. same torque but 100rpm lower, (or i want to believe this)
4. if it get wet you have to dry it immediately or remove it (check engine light is on)
5. better acceleration

Obelix has the correct answer for what a chip will do and it makes the whole system very fragile to any kind of moisture.

Well there are some chips/power programmers that are BAD ***, but the ones for jeeps only increase the timing some and gives a lill more power, plus you must run 93 gas. Now if is one of the ones that you can recalaber tranmission shifts, fuel ratios, timing, tire size, etc...now those are the ones you want but there's no company that makes those for a jeep 4.0
