Check the fuses in the power distribution box under the hood, this happened in my '91 my jeep was out for 4 days and I replaced the fuel pump them I figured out it was the fuse

i'll check them out 2morrow. but they seam fine...... my 2 guesses are: PCM not getting power (hence check engine light not turning on, and no volt/gas guages), or the only other thing i could think of is distributer completely shot (like the cam sensor or something?)

Getting power from the ignition coil? Also, you said that you swapped in a new distributor cap and rotor. Leave anything disconnected?
