Default Passing gear then misfire

New problem arose today on the drive out of town when driving down the highway at about 50 or 60 i stomp on the gas and it shifts into the passing gear as it should...but shortly after its like im riding a bucking bronco its missing like a SOB I let off the gas and get back on a few short seconds later and it stops the problem continues to do this at random intervals but only when the tranny down shifts into the passing gear.... any one got any ideas?? personally i think its a fuel problem but pressure tests fine

Is it a miss, or is it a transmission shutter? Do you have a check engine light illumitated?

Okay, so you've got a misfire while the vehicle is under load. Does it do this ONLY when you are passing someone, or above a certain RPM range? If you were to drive with wide open throttle starting from a stop, would the motor misfire?
