is it stuckstuck? my 96 hangs up on the passenger side but a double pull on the release gits her open. my release has got a "half" pull and a "full" pull
a spray straw on a can of pb blaster or wd40 in between the hood and fender to loosen it up, and then find out why its sticking.

get one side open, reach your hand up under the hood (you may have to hold it up a little bit) grab the linkage and move it (i think its toward the passanger side) and that should unlock the latch, remove both latches, clean them, then lubricate them with white lithium grease (use a dry graphite lube if you're pockets are feeling heavy)
