I have a 1996 jeep cherokee classic. The problem i have is there are no dome light swithches in the door jams to turn on the dome light when the door is opened. There are however rubber plugs where they are supposed to be. Is the wiring harness there for them and wasnt installed? If so i would like to get the switches off another jeep to get these working?

 

Mine is completely missing in the '99. Thinking about ordering one of these, but I haven't dug into it too much to see if the wiring infrastructure is still there.

i have a friend who has a wrecked 99 classic just need to know if the wiring harness is there. I guess i need to pull off the door pillar covers off and see! I f there is nothing there ill wire in the switches you gave me the link to. THANKS

 

I just played with mine last night due to a short, the dome lights are the 2 yellow 1 black wires connector. if your harness has that right up under the dash your wired up.
