Counterfeit parts are a major problem for all manufacturers. People buy what they think is a name branded part off of places like ebay, Amazon or CL which is actually a counterfeit, then bad mouth the brand because the inferior quality counterfeit part fails sooner than expected. It is always best to buy name brand parts from an authorized dealer in order to insure you actually get what you pay for.

Good for you! In fact I recently purchased a set of ACDelco brake rotors for my 07 Silverado which were sold by ACDelco. I didn't say all parts on Amazon are counterfeit but the buyer must be aware of who the seller is. If you have never heard of a seller or the seller is located in China odds are high that the part may be counterfeit. The buyer just needs to be aware of who they are buying from. If you see an advertised price that seems too good there is a probably a good reason why.
