Default Parts interchange

Hi, new to this forum for questions.

I am rebuilding a 2000 Cherokee Sport, all original... I purchased a good used "except for blown motor" 2001 Cherokee Sport as a donor of parts. The 2000 was slightly wrecked on passenger side and blew the airbags. My question is will all the 2001 components , Module, clock-spring, bags, etc interchange with the 2001? I do understand the safety issues involved with airbag modules as i have been in the maintenance industry for 40 years. Just looking for interchange advice or links to resources.

PS, the reason i'm not restoring the 2001 is because the young person that had it butchered lots of the suspension, body, etc. trying to make a 2-wheel drive an off road asset! But, it still has lots of good parts.

Thanks

99.8% should interchange.
And if the '00 is CA Emissions like the '01 is then thinking 100%.
Assuming they are both automatics. Or sticks.
All '01's are CA Emissions. '00's can be either.
Which basically means the exhaust varies a bit.
The PCM is different. And there is one different wiring harness in the engine compartment.

That is actually a good thing in IMO.
Only one cat before the muffler.
No dual front cat. Just a Y-Pipe.
Only 2 instead of 4 O2 sensors.
Not that it is that big a deal but I wouldn't mind if my '00 was
a Federal Emissions one instead of a CA Emissions one.
