I have a few questions for ya guys. I have a 94 2door Cherokee that is in need of an engine. I recently have seen a 95 4 door cherokee with a lift and the same 4.0 I6 i have for sale cheap. I'm wondering if there is a difference between the years as far as engines go. Is it going to be a straight up swap? Also will the lift for the 4 door jeep work for my 94 2 door? What about computer compatitbility? Will I be able to bolt my intake and sensors and all that stuff on to the 95 engine? Thanks for the help guys. I know I asked alot of questions but I've gotta get this engine swapped over soon.

 

everything will work engine and lift. only thing that may different is u bolt size. you gotta make sure both rears are the same

 

yes the engine will bolt up and the sensors should be the same. As far as the computer goes,if it was an auto trans there is no need to worry about the computer. The suspension parts are all the same on the 2dr and the 4dr.

 

Everything should fit except for the door and side glass.

 

Alright cool. All I need is the engine. Both are auto transmission trucks. I just figured the lift might come in hand if I chose to add that at a later date. Thanks for the quick answers.
