Default part time light comes on no 4x4

Sry I know people ask this a lot and I have searched and found how to lock the cad. I'm full prepared to do so. I have seen posts that say 91+ have 1 piece pass. Axel, and posts that say 91- have 2 piece pass. Axel. My xj is a 91? I'm hopeing someone on here can help. I'm currently ets'ing out of the army and have to travel in the snow. So I need to fix this quick. Thanks, will

Yep... good write up. also I forgot when I put it in 4 low its pretty much in neutral and sometimes pops the lever into neutral. I have looked at the linkage before and it looks fine to me. Just trying to narrow it down. Thanks for the help

All the 91 and older XJ's I have seen are disconnect D30's. And it sounds like you just need to adjust you linkage, so that it doesn't pop out of 4lo. There are several good write ups on how to adjust it.
