Painting an axle..
What kind of paint and primer would be best from a rattle can to paint an axle? I have a new rear axle I am going to clean up and what to paint it. So I need to know what kind of spray paint and primer to use?
Also can you replace all the hard lines? if so where can I get them?

As far as spray paint goes, rustoleum is the best. Make sure you clear coat them to . I sprayed a set of dually rims for a friend that way over a year ago and they still look good.

Duplicolor from my experience is a very nice product, painted my old jeep with it entirely and it looked fairly well, this goes for both their spray cans and pre-mixxed car paint

I scrubbed my axles down with degreaser and a hard bristle brush then scrubbed the heck out of them with a wire brush. Some regular old Rustoleum rattle can flat black primer and gloss black and DONE!

Yeah it would be unique for sure. I'd get lots of looks..hmm I guess I could paint it white and the cover black .. Nah it'll get painted black since the front one won't be painted. I also bought some cheap solid covers for them. They were on sale for a price that was hard to pass on..
