Hi everyone I am a newbie having lots of problems with my 2001 grand Cherokee. It started with losing all my gauges but truck ran fine. I then disconnected the battery to try and reset the pcm , after disconnecting battery the truck starts and shuts off. Replaced the skim module cant program told its a bus problem to instrument panel and skim module I have been chasing wires disconnected everything in the truck. Has anyone experienced this problem or where can I find a wiring diagram for this model year jeep. Thanks for any help

 

having the same problems with my truck, you cannot just replace the skim module, you need to have it programmed to your pcm with a 4 digit pin code that the dealer has. I am in the midst of trying out a solution to deleting the skim on my truck I will tell you if it works, I have a 2001 xj too

 

I am having the same problem.... were you able to bypass the SKIM? if so how, I'm at a loss right now with mine
