i googled it and it says i need to replace my tcm so my question is what and where is it and is it something i can do

 

i just got the p0700 code driving home. i was told if i replaced the tranny fluid and filter it should do it

"P0700 Information Code The Transaxle Control Module (TCM) monitors the malfunction of sensors and actuators relating to transaxle control. If any malfunction is detected, the TCM informs the PCM by sending a signal (P0700 code). P0700 means that a code has been set in the TCM. This code is for information ONLY. If this code is present, check for transaxle codes. So basically, the P0700 code is telling you to check the TCM for a transaxle DTC. The TCM can not turn on the check engine light so it has the PCM do it."

So it sounds like you need to take it to have the code read further to find out what is really wrong

 

What is it doing? shifting wrong? not shifting? p0700 is just a generic code letting you know there is something wrong with the tranny. could even be a bad wire in the harness.
