P0103 on 2000 xj
Title about sums it up. I have a 4wd 2000 xj 4.0 with about 196k miles. Engine light came on so I checked with a scanner. Says MAF sensor. Then I read that the 2000s don't have these. Any ideas?

Oh man, I wish I had some better memory to help you out on this one. I looked through old emails to see what I could find. 2 major things. 1, I ordered a new starter the day before posting. I know I installed it and was very easy. No idea if they are connected at this point. Either disconnecting the battery in the process or the change must have taken the light off for the remainder of the time.
I believe that is related to a rough idle. I also changed out spark plugs as there is something about wrapping something in that area if you can find those threads, but I changed my spark plugs and it must have worked out.
Sadly, that was Jan/Feb. In Oct the radiator went out, fried everything, cracked the motor and it was sold to someone who rebuilt it. So, watch out for that.
