Default oxygen sensor troubles

Sometimes I get one 21 code, sometimes two. But I have just replaced both oxygen sensors. And I've checked all the fuses in the engine compartment, but they seem all okay.

- which fuse should I look at, then I'll replace it anyway
- what else can I look at?

Apparently the oxygen sensors were the cause of my car surging. I've unplugged them both, and the problem is gone. But this is not ideal

Does someone have a wire scheme of a '96 for the oxygen sensors?

Look for bad wiring to the o2 sensors. You also have one or two 02 heater relays.....In my sig there are links to diagrams, it you see "Tom" go there!

If you post the actual code, there might be guys here that can help.

I got these:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/380480509861

I noticed that the front sensor looks different from the old one. Here is a picture of them side by side:

The old one is on the left side.

Do I have the wrong one? Or should this one also work?

The wire colors are:

before the connector: black/blue, black/blue, black/white, green/brown

old o2: white, white, grey, black

new o2: white, white, grey, black

Since the old one and the new one have the same colors, I just connected them the same way.

I've also contacted the Ebay seller GlobalAutomotive to see what he has to say.

Is the one on the right suppose to be new? did you have it in the jeep? it looks used. I would look for NTK, not some ebay off brand. my .02

Oh ok, I was going to say thats not new..lol

I would go for a NTK one. Generic o2 sensors don't seem to do good in a jeep.

You could try a bosch o2 sensor.
But I have read where some ppl had probs with them and some didn't.

Ive just used NTK..
