Definitely keep us posted and take lots of pics of the install. If it works well, it should be a pretty sweet mod. Not very hard to fine Neons in the JY either

OK I will. There were at least 5 where I was but only 2 had the double fan/shroud setup the other 3 were 2 fans separate setup. I may do it this weekend...Tj

wow, so I check into doing this myself and looked up the part at my local junk yard... here's what I found.

Cooling Fan (Rad and Con mtd.) from a 2002 Dodge Neon, dual fan assembly... $125.00

Does that seem way overpriced to anyone other than me? =(

WOW that is a rippoff!!! they are a dime a dozen in most JY's around me if you can find one. The place where I got mine charged me $20 if I pulled it...keep looking and check CraigList...BTW I havent done the mod yet but will very soon...Good Luck...Tj

That really looks promising. I have a Ford Taurus SHO fan laying in my garage. It's going to take a bunch of hacking and fitting to squeese in.
I'll wait out your install before starting. Just blew my T-case in Moab so my next round of the cooling wars is on hold anyway.

Heck I'm 66 and been modifying Jeeps what seems forever. I'm always a day late and a dollar short. Anyway I can always dump it on ebay if needed.

Any idea how loud they are compared to the stock XL electric fan? The stock one is just ridiculously loud IMO...(granted, only notice it when stopped at a light)
