Nope, negative......those pics I post were not the pump removed from our XJ. Can't remember now which XJ forum I saved those pics from.....saved them 'cause I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw them.

 

I've trolled long enough, figured I may as well join the forum! Talk about dejavu. I recently received an '01 with 112K from my dad, and I am having the exact same issues. I have done everything everyone has suggested on this thread, except the water pump. Starter going out took priority this week. Those pics you guys posted are the gnarliest water pumps I've ever seen! Keeping my fingers crossed that mine still has the fins on when I remove it this weekend. Thanks for answering my questions before I even have to ask. Loving this forum.
