if you don't find any cracks or anything like that, and it's still running hot, get some stuff called water wetter, or the royal purple equivalent, can't remember the exact name. the electric fan on my 93 doesn't work, and I notice when I sit for a few the temp starts to go up, I bought some of the royal purple coolant additive, and I stay right around 200-210...just an idea
I'm no expert, but at the suction end of the water pump, that line has one or two spring inside the tube to prevent it from collapsing under pressure. I read in other forums that shop mechanics make the mistake of not reinstalling these springs when replacing the water pump. Could that be the issue?
