Not much to the cooling system,

Hoses, Thermostat, E-Fan, Mechanical fan, Fan Shroud, Radiator, Temp switch to turn on E-fan and lets not forget coolant.

Check and see if Electric fan is coming on when engine hits 219 degree.. If not this could be an issue and very common problem..

Ant...

With it being a '99 check your oil fill cap for a milky substance/coolant bottle to make sure there is no oil. May have the dreaded 0331 head. I think the early '99s were okay.

The first thing you need to do is to see where is the coolant coming from. Check all of the hoses and the bottom of the water pump. There is a weep hole on the bottom of the water pump that will pour out water when the pump is bad. Also check the freeze plugs. Stop driving it until you fix it or you may end up having to rebuild the engine.

By all means find the leak and repair it before you drive it any more. What could be a minor repair now could end up being a new engine if you continue driving it. The issue could turn to a total failure all at once.

Highly unlikely. I'd look elsewhere.

Oh, there's lots of things:

Blown head gasket

Cracked block or head

Leaking freeze plugs

Clogged cooling system

Worn out parts

Lack of maintenance

Cooling system full of stop leak

Etc, etc.

Under what conditions does it overheat - idle, highway, all? What temp is it showing on the gauge?

RTorrez1 has it right. YOU have to find where the coolant is coming from and it often isn't easy with coolant that gets blown around by the fan. We've all had to do this at one time or another and there's no way forum members can do it for you.
