It wasn't doing this before you bypassed it? You may have gotten a bubble in the system

Blown head gasket?

Cracked head?

Plugged cat/exhaust?

Probably nothing you can fix in a parking lot. Call a flatbed.

Heater core leaking was leaking on the interior. One of my fans isn't working it's on a toggle and it just won't turn on

It overheated worst when I was stopped or under 20 yes. It would continue while it was running in general.

BUT it's fixed now replaced all the wires and grounds. New inline fuse and it turned right back on keeping it at 210 pretty steady. It'll work for now.

That's great.

Good luck with the heater core.

Does your jeep have a mechanical fan with a clutch? A bad fan clutch is often the reason for overheating while sitting/idling or in slow traffic.

Fan sucks air through the radiator, plus it's aimed directly at the exhaust manifold. It sucks cool air through the radiator helping cool down the coolant. Pushes the hot air out of the bay to keep the hoses cooler. Makes sense I think.
