Default Overheated and spun a bearing

Just bought a 99 for 1k cause it had over heated and spun a bearing. I plan on swaping the motor out ofmy 93. Who knows of any issues I might run into? They are both 4.0 ho but didnt some 99s not have a distrubitor?

I know my 93 is obd 1 and the 99 is obd 2 but if I juct switch wverything over it shouldnt be an issue right? Also I keep reading other threads and seeing theres a difference in some motor mounts, is it just the brakets or are the holes in the block different?

I think it would be a straight swap as long as it is not a Renix engine (which it's not since you said 1993). Only thing would be the electrics mostly since the engine is an OBDI. Coil packs are only 2000-2001. My 99 still has a distributor.

Also, is this AX15 or AW4?

I meant is the transmission on your 1993 and on the 1999 Auto (AW4) or stick (AX15)?
Because if you are going from Auto to Stick or vice versa I am not sure if you need some extra parts to mate the engine.

Oic, both autos. My main concern is the motor mounts not that I know the igniotion is the same. I figure if I take them both down to long blocks it should work

Judging from past posts, you may run into a bunch of unforseen problems attempting this swap.

If you have a distributor then its a straight swap no issues! And if its the 93 then you get a better cam..well the early cams 87-95 hold more power up to redline vs the 96-01 cams..the 96-01 cams bring power on sooner and fall off sooner..87-95 bring it later and hold it to redline.
Either way if you got a distributor then its a straight swap. If not you'd have to swap heads! Or figure a way to make the coil on plug setup work with a older style head.

You should not be running into any issues. I have swapped out engines in both directions. 99-93 93-99 and so on. Take your time, pay attention to where things mount up and the rest is easy.

the way i got them out was a 2ft 3/8 extention a 3/8 swivel socket and a 3/8 impact. i was under my jeep and had my dad get the socket on the bolts from up top. came right out!
