Ok... I know I have seen at least 1 XJ on a forum with an overhead shelf.. I think it had some radio equipment and switches. But heck if I can remember where I saw it or what to search for to find it.

I am currently thinking of adding one as I am looking into getting a 2m ham and a scanner sometime in the future and would like a general place to mount them all to keep the wiring all in the same area rather than spread to all different mounting locations through the cab.

I am really looking for more than just a shelf though... something with a closed front to mount the radios and switches in. Anyone here have a home made "shelf" or have a nice aftermarket one.

I have an idea but am looking at options and mounting ideas.
