Overdrive issues?

Overdrive issues?
Hey people:
I've been looking and asking but maybe I can have some more luck.
I have a 1996 Cherokee Sport, 4.0L Auto Transmission. Recently I've been driving about 15-20min down the road, today it completely popped out of gear into neutral (while in OD and in 3rd gear). But it would pop into 1-2 gear when I engaged it. I put the car into neutral, turned it off, then back on, and the problem vanished. I replaced the TPS a little while ago, though the car responded nicer, the same problem happened after 15-20min of driving. Any ideas? I don't have diag tools either ugh
