I have a '99XJ 122k miles. Lately it's been over heating for 30 seconds to 1 min. The temp needle goes almost all the way up and then after a min it goes back to 1 notch over 210.

Is this a water pump issue?
Or could it be radiator/hoses?
Or fan?

Thanks for replies.

Sounds like your thermostat is getting "stuck" closed. Replace your thermostat and see if that helps.
