Disconnect the hose from the overflow tank and then remove the two screws holding the tank in place. Now you can remove the tank from the engine bay. Dump out (dispose properly) the old stuff. I used Dawn and some water to rinse it out real good. I also made sure to shoot some water down the passage where the hose connects (on the bottle, not the radiator). Refill with 50/50 coolant mix.
My overflow tank was so dirty that the aforementioned passage was clogged with crap and wouldn't dislodge. I ended up getting another overflow tank from the junkyard.

Dishwasher soap, not dish soap, put in hot water and granules and shake soak and shake soak til clean. Back in the day we use to clean certain paraphernalia this way.
