Default Optima batteries

Not sure where a good place to post deals is but Amazon has some great prices on optima batteries. Something you may want to check is if their warranty is still good if bought from Amazon. Not sure if their an authorized dealer or not.

Optimas are not what they used to be. The company was bought out a few years ago, and the quality has been hit or miss since then.

Heard too about the drop in quality of optima parts these past years.

You guys are definitely right about their drop in quality. The problem is that Johnson Controls bought them a few years back and ever since, they seem to go bad much faster. I work at an auto parts store and I constantly see people replacing their optima batteries after only a few years.

Well hopefully the two I just bought don't suck then. At any rate they still have a three year warranty.

Perhaps I have one of the better Optimas, bought in 2012. It has performed perfectly and I regularly fill all four tires without engine running. YellowTop

i will never buy another optima again.

lost 3 red tops in the last 3 years. then this year, my big yellow top. and that one was made in 2012

i just bought a canadian tire eliminator extreme AGM battery. at least it has a 5 year free replacement warranty.
