I just bought a used short block for $50 now the motor was run hot and the head cracked does anyone think that I should bolt my head on and go or should I rebuild it? Im gonna throw a new oil pump on and water pump just to be safe. Thanks in adavance for any suggestions

shouldn't have a problem. Of course I'd pull a main bearing and a rod bearing and inspect them for wear. Also just to clean the oil pan out, but thats just me.
