Here's another option for converting from "closed" to "open". This way way u keep your '90 drop-in perfect fit stock rad AND convert to a "open" system. The part is available at Jeg's or Summit and maybe other places as well. The part needs to be mounted in the highest area of the top rad hose and u use a standard 15-16 lb rated rad cap. U MUST plumb a hose from below the rad cap to a bottle that fills/empties at the bottom. The bottle MUST be open to the atmosphere (vented cap).....no pressure or vacuum inside the bottle. The bottle should be about 1/3 full of coolant when the motor has cooled completely, as in overnight. The bottle should be mounted about/close to the same level as the rad cap.

Ok last night was a major freak out on my part I have been banging my head on a wall with other cars at work and have been fried and decided to work on my jeep and what happened was a trifecta of ****. 1. The upper hose to the thermo was slight loose causing a pressure loss. 2. The fitting for the tranny cooler to the end tank was loose didn't rhink that I needed to check it l. And 3. The plug on the end of the filler neck was loose all causing pressure losses. I pressure tests it after work today and it held just fine once those were rectified. Held fine. Glad the rad is good and sooo easy to removed I have it down to 10 mins out and in. It holds coolant fine now and stays cool thanks guys.
