OOPS! Help
So the other day i was drilling through the fire wall to wire in some new lights i was mounting but in the excitement of drilling through...i hit my master cylinder for me brakes. I have a loss of pressure in my braking but they still function ok. But when i have come to a stop and i push the brakes to the floor the RPM's drop almost to the point of it killing the motor . WHAT HAPPENED?! and how can i fix it?!

While you never want to mess around with brakes, (they're very important for stopping) if it is in fact only the brake booster, maybe you could plug the hole you drilled.
That would be easy since it's under vacuum instead of pressure. A propper sized screw with some silicone sealer might make a decent TEMPORARY fix.
Good luck, & remember to always test brake system work , before driving on public roads.

Yeah i figured i might be able to plug the hole till i can get a new booster. Iv only done brake systems on classic cars (65 ford falcon and fairlane) so im not sure how long it might take me to get the booster out, plug it, get it back in. Any ideas of an estimated time?

I did the brake booster, master cylinder, and ran all new lines on my '87 Mustang. It could've been done in 1 day in the parts stores didn't close every time I needed parts. I got the new booster and master in after a couple hours worth of work and had everything hooked up, but when we bled the brakes, the pressure was too much and we blew a line. Had to wait a day to get to the store and get new lines. Replaced that line and it happened again so I ended up running all new lines and it ended up being a 3 day project due to it being a weekend and the parts stores were closed. So if everything goes well, you should be able to complete it in a day. Just remember to bleed the entire system after replacing it. Start with the passenger rear, then driver rear, then passenger front, and then driver front last. Good luck
