Default One rear shock

noticed my drivers side rear upper shock bolts had broken when changing my oil yesterday and the shock was layed over. Went ahead and pulled it to avoid any damage to it. Any chance of damaging the passenger side shock if I drive on it without the drivers side in place?

I drove without the passenger side rear shock for about 2 months without knowing it. The drivers side shock was completely blown by the time I got around to changing them, ended up replacing both. I'd say the longer you drive without both rear shocks, the faster the remaining one will wear.

I've been riding with one shock (driver side) for going on 3 weeks now. All four of my upper bolts on the rear broke and I got one side drilled tapped and BPE installed. But every time i get time to work on the other side, it rains and the temp drops. Lol. I hate drilling, I hate getting rained on and drilling more.

Anyways, I'd say you'll be alright driving for a while ,but just take it easy on bumps, and when you do replace the shocks, definitely do them both.

Don't try towing anything... Lol and on an unrelated note, I met some guy wheeling back in the summer who didn't have his front shocks hooked up at all. Haha it's horrible. Just replace them as soon. As you can.

autopartswharehouse, but I'm only getting the HD version for an unlifted XJ, if you have some lift they are more expensive.
