Well, I've been having issues is the recent snow of my transfer case not shifting out of 4HI. To get it to shift, I have to stop or slow my XJ to about 10 mph then stomp on the gas. It works to get the transfer case to shift, but it appears I've now torn the motor mount isolator from the housing. I can see the rubber shifted to the rear on both sides. I can also hear a popping sound in the rear as if the pinion is being moved also can feel a dull thud under my seat as if the transfer case is torquing the crossmember. That all sounds like a motor mount right?
I am a little undecided on the poly busings. Are the vibrations really that bad? I wonder because I see Rustys only offers the rubber isolator mount now instead of the poly.
Opinions?
Also how do you go about getting the forum discount from ironman offroad? Are these the best mounts?
