Omix Ada 18036.02 Upper ball joint castle nut?
Replaced the front and lower left ball joints this past weekend with the ones from the Omix Ada kit. All went smoothly however, after tightening up the castle nuts, there is still play in the wheel. I didn't have torque wrench with me at the time, so I just tightened up to the castle nuts so that the cotter pin would lock them. There is a bit of gap between the knuckle so you can see part of the ball joint shaft...assuming I just need to tighten down until the knuckle bottoms out then torque, but then the cotter pin won't lock the nut, which doesn't make any sense. Has anyone else used this kit or is it the wrong ball joint or something?
