so i posted about a week ago about my jeep heating up a little too much it was heating up to about 235 or the third line on my stock temp gauge. it heated up sitting in traffic with the ac on so i expect it to heat up but not that much
then it heated up when i ran a small trail just going up hill on a fire road basically but again it went up to 235. it did it to me yesterday afternoon as well but this time just driving on the freeway at highway speeds with the ac on. so i replaced the thermostat last night. i got a 195 but i drove it after installing it with ac on up a steep street hill at 45mph and it heated up once i got to the top and stopped but not untill i actually put the brakes on and started to stop did it heat up and when i turned around and got back on the gas it cooled down again. then i went to a drive through sat in the drive through and it stayed at about 225 or so with the ac on then when i shut it off still sitting there it cooled down after about 4 minutes so now im stumped its a brand new radiator with no leaks and it flows really well. its the ff dynamics extreme tt aluminum radiator with the triple fans. so now im thinking maybe water pump? maybe my impeller is shot? im not sure very stumped.
