Hey guys , hey I pulled my oilpan off to replace my rearmain seal is their anything I should realy take a good hard look at or replace. I was thinkin of puttin a new oil pump on. Any suggestions? Another thing is when I pulled the oil pan I bent it up pretty good it wasn't easy gettin off. So should I get a new one and if so should I get a bigger one with a HP pump. Thanks again Fellow Jeepers!!
To me if you have ask then replace it, depending on what your oil pressure was/is if its normal I would just put a stock replacement in look at a couple of main bearings see what they look like make sure the is no brass showing or blueing of the bearing, did you look to see if there was any metal or things that shouldnt be there in the pan? For the oil pan if you have 4x4 wood block use a rubber malllet and try to flatten it out just my $.02

Yeagh everything looks pretty normal! But now im trying to get the damn oilpan out of their. The Haynes Book says to drop the steering Dampner but for being my first project man... it looks a little complex. Am i goin to have to buy any special tools to get that dropped? Thanks Again Let me Know
Disconnect the bottom of the front shocks and sway bar links then drop the axle down. You don't have to remove the damper. Then remove the 10,0000 oil pan bolts and remove the pan.Depending on how many miles you have would depend on what to replace. If alot of miles then replace the front main and pump.
