oil sending unit problem on 96
hopefully i will describe this in a way that you guys understand and can help. On the side of the inline 6 is the oil sending unit. The round shaped thing that screws into the block right about the oil filter, right? Ok...then there is the "pigtail" or "connector" that clips onto the end of the sending unit that has the wire coming out of it going to the oil pressure guage. Im not for sure what the proper name for the "connector " is, but my sons started leaking oiul. It (the oil) pushed out the rubber grommet on the wire end of the connector. I figured it was either worn out or faulty, so i ordered a new one. After $27 and 2 weeks waiting, i finally got it on and bam!!...same thing happened. What gives? Is it too much oil pressure? Why does it keep pushing the rubber thing out of the end of the SU?
