Hey, so my 97's oil gauge is a little low, it starts up fine, for about a half hour then starts dropping, between 20-40 and sometimes dropping to 0 when at a light or stop sign and check gauge light would come on, I replaced the oil pressure sending unit which is right by the oil filter and below the distrubutor, the gauge will still go between 20-40 but never hitting 0 again and never coming on with check gauges. So how do I get the oil pressure to stay constant? I bought a melling high volume oil pump, should that be a fix?

another question is my trans starts shifting weird< likes it"s in third gear after #) mins of warming up< so i took it to a trans shops and they hooked it to a computer and said from the error code it was solenoid number three that was having issues< so i bought the solenoid i need a diagram and how to install it please

 

Your oil pressure will change with rpm changes and temp changes. It will never remain constant. If you think you have a problem hook up a mechanical guage as the factory ones can be off. The golden rule is 10# per 1000 of rpm.
